Planning Your Wedding Flowers:

What to Expect from Start to Finish

Choosing your wedding flowers is one of the most exciting parts of planning your big day. Flowers add beauty, personality, and atmosphere, helping transform your venue into something truly unforgettable.

Step 1: Contact Your Coady Florist

As soon as you've chosen your wedding date and venue, it's a good idea to contact us. You don't need every detail figured out before reaching out.
The main reason for booking early isn't that your flowers are ordered months in advance; they aren't. It's simply to reserve your wedding date.

Step 2: Gather a Little Inspiration

Before your consultation, spend some time collecting ideas.
Don't worry about finding the exact flowers you want. Instead, think about the overall style you're drawn to.
Bring along:
- A few inspiration photos
- Your wedding colors
- A photo of your dress, if you have one
- Bridesmaid dress colors
- Your ceremony and reception locations
- An approximate guest count
- A general floral budget
Even if you don't have all the answers, that's perfectly okay. We'll help guide you through the rest.

Step 3: Your Consultation

This is where your vision starts to come together.
During your consultation, we'll discuss your wedding style, color palette, favorite flowers, and the overall feeling you want your wedding to have.
We'll also determine which floral pieces you'll need, such as:
- Bridal bouquet
- Bridesmaids' bouquets
- Boutonnieres
- Corsages
- Ceremony flowers
- Reception centerpieces
- Cake flowers
- Welcome table arrangements
- Floral installations or arches
We'll also recommend flowers that are naturally in season and suggest beautiful alternatives if a particular flower isn't available or doesn't fit your budget.
After your consultation, we'll prepare a personalized proposal outlining your floral selections and pricing.

Step 4: Finalizing the Details

As your wedding day approaches, we'll reconnect to confirm all the final details.
This includes:
- Final guest count
- Number of table centerpieces
- Delivery locations
- Ceremony timeline
- Any design changes or additions
By this point, most of the planning has already been done, making the final weeks before your wedding much less stressful.

Step 5: Wedding Week

This is when the magic happens.
Once the flowers arrive, every stem is carefully inspected, trimmed, and hydrated before our designers begin creating your wedding flowers.
Your bouquets are handcrafted, your centerpieces are assembled, and every boutonniere and corsage is individually finished and checked before leaving the shop.

Step 6: Wedding Day

On your wedding day, we'll carefully deliver your flowers at the scheduled time and, if requested, set up your ceremony and reception flowers, so everything is ready before your guests arrive.
Our goal is for you to simply enjoy the day while we take care of every floral detail.

At Coady Florist, we take pride in every wedding we create because we know how important your day is.

If you're beginning to plan your wedding, we'd love to help bring your vision to life.
